LOST HISTORY 1 (USS Liberty) From: Christopher Bollyn To: US Citizens RE: Congressional Investigation Of USS Liberty Attack Whereas, on June 8, 1967, the U.S.S. Liberty - while operating in international waters in the Eastern Mediterranean - was the target of an attack by Israel's war planes and torpedo boats; and... Whereas, this attack killed 34 members of the Liberty's crew and wounded 172 others, in addition to causing extensive damage to the ship; and... Whereas, the Congress of the United States has investigated every other incident of this kind; and... Whereas, the Congress of the United States has never conducted an investigation into the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty; now therefore be it Resolved, That the Congress of the United States should immediately undertake and conduct a complete and comprehensive public Congressional investigation of the June 8, 1967 attack on the U.S.S. NOTE: Many many thanks to a Manhattan reader for providing this link
to a tremendously encouraging site for U.S.S. Liberty info. The site
is great good news because we learn there's much more mainstream support
for an investigation than previously believed. For example, Adm. Thomas
H. Moorer, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time of
the '67 attack, states flatly that Israel knew "perfectly well" that
the ship was American. So information currently available leads to a
conclusion that five years after the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff had
suggested blowing up a U.S. ship at Guantanamo and blaming it on Cuba,
the Israelis were summoned by the U.S. to blow up the U.S.S. Liberty
and blame it on Egypt so the U.S. could get into an expanded Mideastern
war leading to greater U.S. profits there from petroleum and other natural
resources. Thus it's much easier for folks to accept that the current
Rogue U.S. Government (RUSG) was deeply complicit in the 9/11/01 attacks.
